Trades:
Vegas: Reinhart would become their number one center and they would move Fleury's money, Giving up Krebs would be tough, but acquiring a young center who has years of proven production would be worth it.
Pittsburgh: This trade would be made after the Expansion Draft so that the Penguins would not have to protect him. One of the Penguins biggest flaws in the playoffs this past year was their goaltending and adding Fleury would bring stability to the organization. Buffalo would get a 2nd in this trade because of the salary retention.
New Jersey: They have been rumored to have interest in Ristolainen. While moving a 2nd for a rental may seem like a steep price, moving Subban's entire salary off of the books raises the value the Sabres would receive here.
Seattle: PK Subban would be the face of the first year of the Kraken. While he is past his prime, he is still one of the faces of the league. The reason they trade an asset for him instead of just picking him outright in the Expansion Draft is because of the salary retention and the flexibility that would provide them if they are in a position similar to Vegas in their first year.
Ducks Trade: Anaheim would be adding the best player traded in the NHL since Joe Thornton. The 3rd Overall pick would have to be included if the Ducks are so insistent on keeping both Zegras and Drysdale. Comtois is included because the Sabres do need a young piece coming back to them in this trade that will be an NHL player. Dostal is a good goalie prospect that would strengthen the Sabres at that position in the future. Perreault is a talented goal scorer that the Sabres would add to their prospect pool. The most interesting part of this trade is the 2022/23 1st Round Pick. Similar to the Duchene Trade with Ottawa and Colorado, the Ducks would have up until they are on the clock to decide if the first rounder would be in 2022 or in 2023.
Colorado: Aatu Raty is someone who is sticking out on the board for the Sabres and as Kevyn Adams showed us last year with the JJ Peterka trade, he is not afraid to move up for a prospect that he likes.

Why is Anaheim’s 2021 first (3rd overall) and a 3rd going to Colorado for their late first round pick? I would also be very surprised if Florian Eliáš lasted that long in the draft. I wouldn’t be against the Sabres picking him, he looked good playing with Peterka and Stutzle in the World Juniors last year. We will see what he and Peterka are really made of this year when they are in the World Junior without Stutzle.

I hit the Anaheim pick instead of the Vegas pick in that trade:/
