Description

Add size and skill to the left side. McCabe is someone I saw twitter post about and statistically (before his injury) he was one of the top LHD WAR wise. I think him and Chuckie are an interesting pair, and it allows Gryz to pair up with Carlo, which has proven in the past to be a strong pair.

The third pair is just a big stout pairing. Oleksiak can move up when needed and depending who he clicks with the best.

Stud takes 3C with Debrusk and Coyle on the wing. You hope Jake bounces back with a proper offseason program, and hope Coyle does as well.
Freddy, Goodrow and Lazar are pure energy with a slight touch of finesse. My issue with the 4th line this year is that what is meant to be the "energy line" tended to be invisible. Lazar came in and brought a good vibe so adding Freddy and Goodrow to that will hopefully be a great pressure line.

I think Hall maxes out at 6 if he meant it when he said he's made his money and wants a place to call home. I think the Bs could go up to 6.5 with him if needed, but that puts more of a crunch on the other deals. And it's interesting you would have Oleksiak on the 1st pairing, I personally hadn't been looking at him as higher than a 2nd pairing shutdown with Carlo.

Not necessarily saying McCabe would be a bad fit (though i think I’m leaning towards that), but if you’re basing your top pair on WAR, it’s going to be a long season.

It was just the post that showed his WAR that surprised me enough to look into him. Somehow in that dumpster fire organization, McCabe has gotten better every year since his draft. I think on a team like Boston he could flourish.
