Honestly not a horrible trade for Ottawa. Manson can solidify the right side next to Chabot and hopefully bump Zaitsev down to the 3rd pair, Chabot-Manson Brannstrom-Zub Mete-Zaitsev gives us a D corps that could actually be pretty solid as we push for the playoffs. I’m not sure the Sens would want to give up Kleven in this scenario, maybe a lesser prospect than a recent 2nd just because Henrique has so much term left, but he fills the short term need for a middle six centre, and obviously has chemistry with C. Brown from the worlds which is cool.

I mean Dorion gave up picks for rentals last year (Stepan, Gudbranson), at least Manson is kinda good lol. Hopefully JBD is ready to step in to big minutes by 22-23 anyway. I like Kleven as well, don’t think he gets moved, but overall the guys coming to Ottawa make sense and I’m fine with L. Brown and a 2nd going the other way. The only thing that gives me pause is Henrique has 3 years left, so I think it makes sense to swap Kleven for a lesser prospect for that reason and then I’d probably do it, and just deal with the Henrique contract in 2 years if it becomes a burden.
