Basic Description:

Playing around with what the roster would look like for a three-peat assuming we go for the back to back this year, and then there will be a lot of cap space either through Kuni and Duper being off the books or freeing it up in trades. I think the trades are believable as if the Landeskog rumors are true Maatta should basically fetch him himself, but if that's not the case, I sweetened up the deal with Fehr for cap space as well and swapping a third for a second. Gotta give to get as it's their captain after all. Now, this trade would only take place if we can secure another D first in a trade involving Fleury. This trade would involve trading for a veteran goalie as the Stars have two goalies they're paying premium for not quality goaltending, they would want to have a number one guy. Fleury could provide this to them and we would get the goalie that we can leave unprotected (which Niemi wouldn't actually be on the roster for this year, it's just to show the trade, but we would have Jarry solidly backup Murray at almost 3 mil cheaper under the cap (projected to raise from the 73 mil of this year anyways).

Lines:

This first line would obliterate the NHL....no further description needed except Landy would realize his potential here and on this line.
The second line has already been shown to work and has two of our best wingers with Geno instead of sticking him with fourth liners like Rust.
This third line would be something special, in my mind it would be as potent as the triplets line was in Tampa their breakout year with the amount of speed, youth, and talent here.
The fourth line would miss the god-send that was Matt Cullen but Sundqvist has been tearing up the AHL and would be an excellent fourth line center for two effective depth wingers.
The top pairing would consist of Daley returning for a couple years to partner with Letang as they've shown to play well together already.
Dumoulin would hopefully click well with the new Penguin for a long time shut down pair.
Getting the last year out of Cole before he goes and Bengtsson was rumored to want to break into the NHL this year let alone next, him or Prow are supposed to be great prospects.
Murray/Jarry would easily be the best and most cost effective goalie tandem.

So that's my rant, hope you guys like it and agree! smile

A+ for the effort. F for making lopsided trades.

I think any team would go on a three peat if they could snatch every teams top players for less then their worth.
