If he nets a 1st Rounder I'd be shocked. Maybe get a 2nd from the right team probably but nobody is going to give up a prospect and a 1st rounder for a 30 year-old winger who has only topped 30 points 2 out of 8 years in the league and whose shooting percentage is 22% - due for a decline since his career shooting percentage is 12.7%. His best season he shot 14.7% which got him 52 points (34-18) a career high.

I never understand these trades. Rangers seem to "going for it now" and the Eastern Conference is wide open. Why would the Rangers want to trade one of their good (unexpectedly) players? The idea of playing a 82 game season is to make the playoffs and win the Cup, not trading players for "value" Now if Grabner was traded for a starting Dman OK, but draft picks and futures....foolish.
