Nothing against Pavelski...but trades like that put NYR into the situation a few years back requiring "the letter" to fans explaining the rebuild...trading 1st round picks or blue chip prospects for a player who begins next year at 37 yo is a big no-no even with 50% retained. no thanks

As far as the Vegas trade- interesting idea, but I think Stephenson fits so nicely into what they do that it would take an overpay to pry him from Vegas...also, Vegas would have to move Smith to make room at 2RW....and even if they did that their first choice might be to put Tuch there...as good as Buch could be for Vegas, just don't think there is room for him- and don't forget he has to be extended.
