Description

Love the moves for both sides. Isles get a top-6 winger and some forward depth, while the Devils get what might be the only 1st round pick to move at the deadline. I wanted Hall more for awhile, but with Palmieri playing better over the past couple weeks, I'm just as happy with him as I would've been with Hall.

The lines are gonna be really interesting, because we now have 5 NHL caliber centers, meaning one will have to play on the wing and push out one of our 10-12 NHL caliber wingers. Zajac is a faceoff god, but he's been outpaced by Pageau this season, so I suppose he'll be the one moving to 3W. Maybe Wahlstrom will be allowed to move over, play on his off-wing and utilize his shot a little more, which may be a fun experiment. Palmieri meanwhile will hopefully take Leo's spot at 1LW. His combination of skill and physicality will hopefully fit the hole left by Lee better than Hall could've

I would root for a 1st rd rd exit if that happened. I know trotz favors vets, but that would be a bizarre move that would get media attention IMO. It would be inexcusable. I don't even think trotz is capable of making such a reckless move.
