Think Canes would rather keep Foegele who’s an RFA and is playing well in a bottom six role. Not sure 20 games of Pearson is worth giving up Foegele for.

Possibly. Pearson has a lot of experience and I think he would be integral to the Hurricanes for the playoffs. If he gets you a cup, then this is a win for Carolina. There is also the possibility that he might re-sign with them if he wants to win. I also don't think VAN would be willing to overpay to keep him, but you know Jim Benning, he likes to overpay to get his guys. He's also injured, but he would be back after the deadline so the deal can be changed if this doesn't work.

It’s an NMC that they have to protect unless the player chooses to waive it, so Eriksson is eligible for exposure in the expansion draft.
