Description

Islanders acquire both Taylor Hall, Kyle Palmieri, and Alex Goligoski if Anders Lee is out long-term and moved to LTIR. If Lee is not put on LTIR, this situation could not happen. If Lee is put on LTIR and comes back for the playoffs, this would be the scenario for the Islanders as they could re-insert Lee into the lineup since salary cap wouldn't matter. Obviously, this is not the likeliest situation, but it's the best-case for Isles fans. They are in the market for a top-6 forward, a 3rd line winger, and a depth defenseman. Hall, Palmieri, and Goligoski fit that.
