Description

Here's the deal. I don't think Bear has top pairing potential. Bouchard does. Cash in on Bear, protect Jones from Seattle. Bear looks good with Nurse, nightmare with Jones and/or Bouchard. Defensive nightmare, and little offense. Jeff Petry had a 40+ point season before we mad that stupid trade, Bear hasn't hit 20 so don't go freaking out on me for this one. I simply don't see the potential here.

Petry was also a UFA and was walking anyways. Wish we could've kept him. He was my favourite Oilers dman of the 2010s.

Bouchard > Jones > Bear > Lagesson (potential)

Also, as this is longer term, Kassian and Archibald are healthy here.

Trading Khaira cuz he's getting replaced anyways and Buffalo might see value in him.

Marody , Benson and McLeod are all ahead of Savoie so he is not needed.

In the end, is this team not stacked up for a cup run???

Really want to hear suggestions about both trades, EXCEPT GRUMPINESS ABOUT BEAR LEAVING. But his value and the rest of the trade I would like to talk about.

Lavoie in his final OHL season - 55gp, 28g, 44a, 82p

McLeod in his final OHL season - 63gp - 19p, 43a, 62p

I'd sooner package McLeod with Samorukov than trade Lavoie. Hes a guy who can be a big top 6 goal scorer in the NHL and be a key player while on his $870k ELC or cheap bridge deal. McLeod's peak would likely be as a 20 - 30 point 3C

I'm sick of Bear and I don't think he's very good at all thus I ship him. I am the last person who would overrate him. Hoping Buffalo might.
