It really is a shame that MAF is playing so poorly this year, of all years. He's a better goalie than his stats show but because of the goalie market Pitt will not get anywhere near what they would of if it were any other year...

Ya he is good for 60 starts a season and is usually above average, but he is really suffering from either his reduced role, or a psychological thing R/t losing his starting job

Why not just MAF for Lack??? the other pieces are unnecessary and that 4mil cap hit is brutal for a player who may not play....space that could be used on a rental player at the deadline

Carolina is a budget team, they make the pens take Bickell to save money. Pens have to move Fluery and don't have a choice

No. 1 goalie often struggle in a tandem scenario. Think of it for Fleury: The dude has done everything for Pit in 10 years and now this young guy has come up to take his job, his name is constantly bandied about in trade rumours and Vegas expansion. I'm sure the guy just wants to play without all of the distractions. He's too young to be in the goalie danger zone (Age 34+) so I know he still has game left. The sooner he moves on the better, and teams shouldn't be afraid because I think he will find his game again with a fresh start. Look at Luongo after he left Vancouver. Once he got away from the media scrutiny and distractions in Vancouver he played better for Florida than he did for us in his final 2 years.
