Description
Whats up yall im bored and back for a simple end of the offseason idea

Chara should come back for cheap

If they dont trade debrusk they will lock him up

I still dont understand the Craig Smith signing cuz they have too many middle 6 RW and C so like that made no sense. For that reason I feel like they are moving on from Kase cuz again where are they palying him? doesnt make sense. Maybe not, but dont call me dumb for trading him because you would be wrong.

Also there was a lot of talk about zboril playing roster minutes after he made a big leap this season / offseason. So again nobody knows, but if you call me dumb for playing him you are just wrong

And the last note is Im ignoring injuries for now because this is just an overview. and the bench is some combination of them barring injuries etc... So yeah i get it that thats one too many people dont comment about it or you will be wrong lol

I would say do the Kase trade at the deadline. You have to make sure that Boston has enough NHL quality forwards while you have players out.

Totally Fair! Hopefully they will, bruins have always been hard hit by the injury bug.

Kase will stay and he likely plays with DeBrusk and Krejci. Let them play together and build chemistry; they looked good in the playoffs. Studnicka will get a spot since 88 is out to start the season but after that, that's the question: Providence or 4th line?
Kase has 93% of his goals in the past three years at even strength. Smith, 73%. They can both get 20 (82 GP pace) if everyone on their lines play well. Bruins know they have had secondary scoring issues for years now so that's what they tried to address by bringing these two guys in over the past months. Cassidy said they will look to improve their 5on5 game and bringing players like Kase and Smith will help that. Highly unlikely Kase is moved now.
I was reluctant to put Studnicka on the 4th but if he's ready, go for it. It's better than almost any 4th liner they have.

Chara can't play top pair minutes anymore, at worst, he should be on the 2nd pair.

Ur right, just dont wanna ruin Studnickas development
and yeah chara is slowing down but who better right now? dont want griz and Mcavoy together and who knows...

Ultimately I hate how Sweeny handled this offseason.
Krug went cheap enough that the bruins coulda given him 7 mil and called it even.
Smith is a terrible and useless signing. So many other options

Personally I think management thinks Stud isn’t ready yet or they don’t want to play him on the wing with the big club unless they have no other choice. Which I think very much explains the smith signing. I also wouldn’t expect Studnicka to go out and put up the production that smith can. As for the defense I think the Bruins looked at it from a perspective of that we can’t Just keep burying these dmen, we have to see what they got, worst case they still have the assets to go out and acquire a dman at the deadline/mid season
