I think I prefer the Slavin - Jones top pair to this one. Adding Werenski is a good move.

I think you could make a better team overall if you picked a different backup and threw Svechnikov back in the lineup. Then you could move Pettersson to the 3rd line. I think Rust needs a high-end center to get the most out of him.

I agree with the 1st pairing. I put those two because I know their numbers are so effective together, but I think Slavin's contract is going to be one of if not the best for Carolina for the next 5 years. I personally like the Lehner/Hart tandem, but I think I could get a better backup that's under 3 mill. My top options are: Jaroslav Halak, Pavel Francouz, Juuse Saros, Alexandar Georgiev, and Johnathan Bernier.

A Lehner - Hart tandem is otherworldly, but I don't think you need two goalies of that level. You can use an elf somewhere else in the lineup and improve your team overall. Out of that group, I'd choose Saros - could be my bias, but I think he's the best one there.

The more I looked into it, I'd say it's a toss-up between Saros and Georgiev. I would say if Georgiev had a team that played in front of him for most of the season, he would be much better than Saros.
