Description

If Melnyk is willing to spend some millions in UFA and achieve to sign Pietrangelo and Holtby, they will not be a garbage anymore.

I drafted with the 3rd overall pick Byfield (I figured out that Stutzle will be the LA pick) and I chose Lucas Raymond as the 5th overall pick (RW and Sniper that is really missing in line up right now).

I trade with MTL for Max Domi, they don't have space for him in top 6 as a centerman so it's a good fit for us too cause we miss a top 6 center. I signed him for 6millions/years. I consider this is a good deal too for MTL, they need a potential RW with good finishing skills right handed + the 1st rounder this year (28th overall)

Lol if Melnyk is all that's preventing the Sens from doing something like this, I'm gonna have to take back all the mean things I've ever said about him. This team isn't a contender, but you've saddled them with deals that will look absolutely awful, and will cripple the team when it's time to pay young stars. Also that Domi deal is horrific.

but they aren't screwed cap wise, 2021-22 they would have $20M in cap room in the flat cap to re-sign Tkachuk and Lajoie and a backup and maybe a depth piece.... $15M total

The next season, they had the remaining $5M plus $7M in additional cap room, plus the cap should be going up, suppose another $2M,
$15M in room for Tierney Hawrlyuk and Brannstrom....

then Byfield and raymond, and Brown

meanwhile rolling in Formenton, Norris, etc... on cheaper bridge deals... it's do-able..

but Melnyk is a scumbag, and none of this will ever happen.
