Description

The main point of discussion on this AGM is acquiring Weegar from the FLA Panthers.

In 31 Thoughts, Elliotte said that the Panthers are looking to dump some cap on their back end, and I wanted to know if packaging Matheson with Weegar would be something of interest. Yes, Matheson has a long contract but if he can bounce back that AAV isn't bad at all.

I do know that this is the man that body slammed Petey. But these are professionals and heck Manning, the dude that ended McDavid, ended up on the Oilers!

Is he that bad? I was looking at his underlying numbers and they were that bad. FLA overall was pretty bad this year so if you took him out of that system maybe that contract looks good(?)

Also, Panthers are going to trade one of those three guys (Stralman, Matheson, Yandle) so maybe someone can leverage that

Think Zaitsev but on the left side. That contract is so bad it hurts. In general the panthers had 2 good dman (Weegar + Ekblad) the rest were all liabilities both with and especially without the puck.
