Im against this deal. Zadorav is LHD who can play RHD but we need actual RHD. What stops us from using Mahura in that spot? Same for Jost. I rather see Lunderstrom and others get that spot. Only thing that makes me consider this deal hypothetically is if JJ Pertka or somebody significant has dropped in the draft. So rn im a no.

Fair enough, but I will say this that’s a solid pull for Rackell. Jost is confounding because imo no player was harmed by COL’s rapid turn around as him. Coming off the abysmal 48 pt season it was assumed he would get tons of top 6 time and develop in the NHL like other Avs top picks, but low and behold they get into a playoff push and he gets relegated to the bottom 6 because he can still contribute, but if they had the depth at the time he should have been sent to the AHL to finish developing. Then the problem became he was to good for the AHL and there wasn’t a spot for him in the top 6 but he expanded his game to being solid defensively even killing penalties. Imo all his hockey skill that led to him being picked 10OA is still there and given an opportunity as a regular in the top 6 he is a 40-45 pt 2nd line guy.

Z oh what to say about Z. 4 games he is a monster, 2 games he is good, 3 games he is ok and 1 he is a train wreck. He’s Bednar’s whipping boy, sometime unfairly imo, but his teammates live him and the other team definitely knows he’s on the ice.
