EDIT: The extra 6.5-ish that's left should be enough to cover any contract issues with Hughes and Petersson. Worst case you can ship the dead end year of Beagle or Roussel to free up some room.

Underpaying Petterson, Hughes, and Demo (potentially, if he keeps it up)

Binnington won a cup and didn't get term or money.

Demko might get less than 5 years, but I'd be genuinely surprised if he gets more than $4M on his next contract, barring him winning the Hart and Vezina.

He's the one that I added the "potentially" to -- the only one that you may not have underpaid. But I don't see him signing 5 years at that price, more likely 2-3. And Binnington won a cup, but he also only played half a year + playoffs. So it's not like he had a huge resume before getting a big $$ contract. Obviously they had to pay him for what he did, but in reality that was a very small sample size. Ultimately, I think Demko will be a $4m by 3 year deal or a $5.5m x 6 year deal or something -- but this is if he keeps up his play from the playoffs. Just basing his next contract on his regular season play, I'd give him 2 years by $2.5m or something, so a lot can change.

But Hughes and Petterson will demand more. For 8 years, I think both players are looking at more $$. For bridge deals, I think these AAV's are reasonable. I think bridge deals look like 3 years x $6.5m for Hughes and 4/5 years $8.5 for Petterson (similar to Aho) -- long-term would be 8 years close to $9m for Hughes and 8 years at $10.5 for Petterson.
