I don't know about the Ducks trade. It's the right value, but I'd say they'd have to swing and miss hard in free agency to take that contract.

I understand CK now got the extension he wanted and it’s 7 years, but Bowers isn’t the C I want. Also, for this to work Haula must remain a 40 pt player and he’s only had 2 seasons above 30 points. Granted a short year and injury the year before, but he’s turning the wrong side of 30 next season. $4M is not a bad move and neither is 3 years if that pans out. It is also a move that reflects on Chytil. If CK wouldn’t go to EDM in a possible RNH swap, I’d rather a guy like Jost or if he’d go to STL a Zach Sanford type of player 1 year left and a soon to be 26 year old winger who can just take CK spot maybe not as good but w/ Lafreniere, don’t need a future 3LW at $6.5M

The Rangers aren't moving their top pair RD. They are trying to add a top LD to pair with him. He also had a great second half to the season. Dumb to try to get rid of a talent like Trouba.
