Random idea BUFF trade at draft

I would rather have Lundell if he can be the lead by example type of player who galvanizes the rest of the talent we have. He’s pretty much guaranteed to be there, unless his draft profile raises significantly. And if that happens someone who isn’t supposed to be there at eight will be, we really don’t lose.

the thinking was that Buff has other great center prospects, so they might look at Kravtsov and Georgie for their pick so that rangers could get a center. its probably more likely Buff holds the pick and takes a winger

If the best player available at that spot is a center you take him. They can move Mittelstadt to the wing if necessary, if he’s still here when that guy is ready.

Do you think Buffalo will take Lundell there? most projections I see have them ending up with a winger and Minnesota getting Lundell

It really does depend on who is sitting there. If Raymond is still there they take him, but he really shouldn’t be. Perfetti is the only guy I think they might take at eight that could be there. But you know guys generate a lot of buzz between just before the draft and at the draft. Lundell could be that rising guy. If they really like him and he’s there at 8 they take him. There is no such thing as too much center depth.
