I'd expect that to be a no from NJ.

Don't think NJ is good enough team to risk it with moving important future assets for Marner.

They are kind of bad for many years now and should finally make some progress. Also, Marner could help Hischier and especially Hughes in producing points. New Jersey really struggles to score goals.

I want Marner gone from Toronto, but not because he is bad, just because the Leafs have 3 high payed players and Marner is the movable part.

Yes, a tough one on both counts, I don't know if NSH move their best forward prospect, and don't think bracco or malgin have much value.

As much as I think the answers are no from both teams, I like the returns, but worry that the team defense, (forechecking/backchecking), physicality and the inexperienced 3rd pairing aren't addressed.

I don't think Tolvanen is seen as that in Nashville anymore. Neither do I, but I think Kerfoot still has some value.

I think this is also a mentality thing. Forechecking and so on is an absolutley learnable skill. And while Lehtonen does not have a ton of NHL experiance, he is 26 and therefore not really a kind anymore

Yes, like I said immensely doable. As far as Lehtonen, I guess I'm not sold, but having him in the liljegren/sandin mix is only good. The Flyers signed a similar guy a couple years back : Medvedev, and he wasn't bad, (12 pts in 45 games), but he just wasn't as good in the NHL.

This entire year, the team structure/plan/scheme just isn't solid in front of a fairly average defense, too many 5-4, 4-3, 3-4, 4-5 games and forechecking/backchecking is a learnable system (but not physicality/size), but I'm not sure this coaching staff (which look to be kept around) will pursue it.

Muzzin and Reilly are pretty okay in the top 4, I'm not sure any other youngsters are ready for those minutes. Holl is nice, but he and dermott are ideally 3rd pairing guys on a good team and either make a nice partner for a youngster or lehtonen , so maybe a good number 2 or 4 is needed
