Description

Flames can't sign Hall, but go the trade route to get their proven #1 goalie, plus they add two right shot C/RWers who have had top 6 production in the past and could easily get there again.

This is sort of a last gasp try with the current core, give them one more year. At that point Bjugstadt is a UFA and Johnson can be left exposed to Seattle and they likely take their hometown (sort of) guy given who else they'd be left to pick from.

Rittich could be dealt to any team looking for youngish tandem guy who might still take the step to starter.

The D is scary, basically roll with the youth and sign a couple of defensive minded vets to help shoulder the load....and pray there are no injuries.

With the Canadian dollar still tanked it evens out a lot being paid in USD. Also Alberta tax is pretty good

Johnson's days in Tampa are numbered, he knows this. He might hold on for one more season in Tampa, but his NTC becomes limited after the 2020/21 season ends, so he might be willing to play ball for a chance to play more minutes on a roster that he really fills a need on. His destiny is probably ending up in Seattle anyways one way or another.
