Without even looking up who John Moore is, I’m going to assume he’s better than boychuk considering boychuk is one of the worst defenseman in the league. Why would you want to make this trade?

If the Isles can flip Moore to save cap, sure. I don't think he will start over Dobson or Mayfield

Loved having Boychuk in Boston, its just a funky idea, doesnt really mean much lol

This could work for the Islanders tbh. I already said earlier that I think Moore is a poor man's Nick Leddy, so maybe if they trade Leddy but still want what he brings, I think Moore could be a suitable replacement. That said, I prefer to flip Moore for a late pick rather than keep him, because as an Islanders fan, I don't think the Islanders really need him in their top 6 at that cap hit. I'd rather bring back Greene, Hickey or Aho and see which of those three works best on the bottom pair. So if we could do that and move Moore for next to nothing, this is something I'd be okay with.

Not sure why the Bruins would want Boychuk back, he really isn't the same player that left all those years ago and without being paid to take him, I'm not sure its a pill they'd want to swallow. But if you see a fit, you know your team better than me. I think Boychuk has suffered playing with Nick Leddy, who just hasn't adapted to Trotz's new regime the last two seasons, so maybe the whole pair has just been brought down and Boychuk still has some more to give in a different situation. Tough to tell
