I’m also mirroring trades to the other teams and only using free agents once. Before you flip out about a trade, there’s probably implications for the other team.

Only two teams had less goals than this one at the pause. Someone’s going to overpay Barrie. They don’t have glaring holes in the top 6 to slot in someone like Hoffman or the money to land Hall, so why not send the “PP Specialist” right handed defenseman to tax free Big D. The organization seems light on the right side also, so there may be a fit here. I have Khudobin leaving for Washington so it was either Dell or Halak in Dallas. Figured with Bishop on board, the more affordable option was the way to go. Skipped the CBO. I don’t know how financially strong the team is to be able to eat money. Thought about Pavelski but didn’t see anyone that was a better option to provide goal scoring the team needs

Hintz probably deserves more, but neither have arbitration rights and they each have about one season of nhl contribution. Unless they get long term, they’re in line for modest bridge deals.

They’ll make more but not a lot more. I actually really like the Barrie add. Especially if we go with a more aggressive coaching staff. Lindell can be moved before expansion with Harley coming. I’d try to trade Faksa over Dickie as Dickie is cheaper and more versatile. Other than that I really like this. Robertson over Cogs. Dickie at 3C, Dell at 4C. Kivi or Caamano over Kuhnhackle. I don’t think you need Janni, tho I’ve always liked him and him with Dickie and Comeau is xGF fire
