Description
Flat cap, one CBO, at least one trade

Hawks have lots of young talent - not sure how much of it is ready for the big time yet. Goalie overhaul, both new acquisitions have a year left on their contracts. Keeping the seat warm for Laniken. Seabrook is the CBO.

Strome may be gone and Dach takes the 2C spot. That contract for Karlsson is a bit too much (Years and $). I guess Highmore/Seeler/Gilbert are in AHL.

One of Lankinen/Delia will probably be backup. And think they would like to keep Saad.

The rest seems good.

I couldn’t do this without at least a couple head turning trades. This Saad deal was one of them. Obviously the bigger the impact the less likely it happens. Thanks for the input!

Can't see the hawks trading for any goalies. They'll resign crow and have delia or lankinen be the backup.

Which means they keep saad on the first line, move nylander to 3rd line, no need for leivo.

Keep kampf so there's no need for karlsson and finally they have a few D prospects pushing for roster spots so Luke schenn probably wouldn't see any playing time.

Other than that, good job!

Thanks for the positivity despite disagreeing with everything! I tried to read a lot about the young centers and defense and it sounded like they might need another year or two, and I figured the front office would want to try to be competitive as long as they’re paying Toews and Kane. I see a lot of Hawks fans sticking up for Crawford but it seems like he’s either always hurt or the team is getting trounced on his watch... I don’t watch their games much though so I trust your viewpoints there. I have him taking a short deal in Montreal to back up Price.

I think the hawks are in a weird spot where they really shouldn't do much if anything this offseason. Their main weakness was defense but they have a lot of D prospects that either just made the team or should push for a spot in the next year or 2. Crawford was very good this season. Yeah his concussion history the couple years prior is a worry but after seeing him stay healthy the full season (even after taking a couple hits to the head again) I think that's all the organization needed to see to offer crow a new deal. Now if he asks for any more than 4.5 mil for 2 years that's when you start looking elsewhere for goaltending.
