Unless Ottawa is somehow drafting 30th and 31st, I can't see it making sense. Lafreniere is unbelievably good, but this is an insane price imo. Two top 10 picks, two PPG winger prospects with some really high upside, a very talented but inconsistent C prospect with top 2 C talent and a great NHL defensive winger on pace for 50 points.

Sens have great 2nd-4th line depth in the pipes, but are lacking the front line skill to go ahead of it. This trade obliterates that depth by taking Ottawa's three most skilled forward prospects, and takes away the opportunity to add to their 1st line skill by removing two top 10 picks. Even if they're getting Lafreniere, they're setting this team back overall imo.
