Vancouver says no right now. They want to use Markstrom in tandem with Demko for this year. Unfortunately, the goalie market is fairly thin.

that's why I added so many conditions, I meant for this to be later like a January-TDL deal to see when things were more pronounced in terms of standings. If terms go VANs way they get a 2nd and a 3rd and a goalie with a pretty good future in my eyes

Doubt we'd trade Markstrom to be honest. He's too big a part of our team to let go in a year where we're trying to push up the standings.

We also wouldn't have much interest in Blackwood with Demko already looking to increase his role.

Chances are though is that New Jersey likely won't be in a position to be in the playoffs so why give up a young goaltender with lots of potential? Might as well wait until the offseason, buyour Schneider and try to sign Markstrom

I agree that I don’t see the Canucks trading Markstrom this year. I could see a scenario where NJ acquires Demko, but the ask would be big. Something like Boquist
