Winnipeg needs help on the blueline. J.J. isn't the supreme answer, but he is a vet and could be a better option for some regularity compared to dressed AHL players. Kahun may gel a bit better with their offensive system, because he's just seemed lost in Pittsburgh so far.

Pens get rid of the J.J. contract and bring in a veteran forward in Perreault. He can move up and down the lineup, and definitely provide some help with the injuries to 17, 27, and 71 for the next few weeks. Worst case scenario, he doesn't pan out and winds up being scratched or minimal minutes on the fourth line with a rather expensive contract for that role. However, that contract is only for one more year, and would be easier to offload since it's not entirely expensive, and he only has a year left. Best case scenario, he hits 30-40 points, finds chemistry with the Pens, and offers up different options within the lineup...'cause who knows when Hornqvist, ZAR, and Crosby might be going down at some point with injuries too.
