Im not sure where this idea that Honka is still a prized asset is coming from? He is on the edge of being a bust. By December of this year he'll be 24 and most players, not all but most players have cemented themselves as full NHL'ers. He can still turn it around but he is by no means a player that every team is clamoring to get because of that untapped potential. He could quite easily perform exactly what he did with Dallas so far on a new team. That is also a possibility.
By the end of this year, he'll be considered entering his prime and still not a lock on any teams blue line.
