Hate to break it to Jets fans but Kulikov will be a Jet this season, highly doubt he's going anywhere.

I agree the overpayment on laine but if the bridge deal is the case for laine (not ideal) maybe think he’d be signed by now at 7-7.5.. and imo for kulikov wouldn’t really need to “pay” to move him and team desperate for d would take him forsure some salary retained would need to be done but retained salary for 1 year shouldn’t have to really pay.

I honestly think the jets need Kulikov. He's actually a decent dman, but his contract makes him look worse. When he was playing with Myers last year they were a good pairing. That being said, they played more 3rd pairing minutes, but they were good

Yeah I don't mind Kulikov actually, he gets a bad rap but that's mostly due to his contract, he is no doubt overpaid but if he was getting paid about half of what he is I doubt there'd be so much ****in about him.
I'd way rather keep Kulikov for the season then pay to move him, I really hated the Mason dump trade.
