Not sure why Habs have to add Juulsen here. Its not like Dobson has done anything above and beyond Suzuki. Both guys are studs but equal studs.

Montreal would be crazy too refused that
Well it's interesting to see two different points of view. One says this deals is at the advantage of MTL and the other at the advantage of NYI. This makes me think this trade is pretty even.
Suzuki has been drafted 13th and Dobson 12th (even). Both were the best player of their team (even), and those two teams were very good (even. Suzuki was the OHL-playoffs-MVP with 42 points (3rd best amount since 2010, better than Tkachuk, Scheifele and DeBrincat), while Dobson put 29 points as a defenseman, and he is one year younger.
For that last part, everything depends on how they will develop. If Suzuki develops as a kind of Tatar/Drouin and Dobson as a kind of Pietrangelo, well Dobson is the best one. If Suzuki is more like O'Reilly/Scheifele and Dobson is more like Vlasic/Ristolainen, well Suzuki is the best one. No one can be sure. That's why, to convince NYI, I proposed to add Juulsen. It represents less risk for them and Juulsen is a little more NHL-ready. But I'd understand if Lamoriello declines that... It is just a really good offer.
