bruins have already been drafting and developing centers (stud, jfk, fred, and beecher) so theres no worry for me about the future of the bruins down the middle

Also too little for carlo on an 8 yr deal and way to much for mcavoy on a 2 yr deal

I do see your point, but does the trade diminish the team enough to not be a contender? Heinen is very good at both ends of the ice, Killer when healthy is also solid, but Bruins are deep in wing prospects. Are Stud, Jfk, Fred, or Beecher potential #1 centers?

I don't think you can trade your way into the top ten draft pick When Backes and Krejci contracts expire in two years, maybe there is money to trade for a premier centre or sign a UFA.
