I’m kinda surprised Vancouver didn’t bite this year at draft, 3oa and seabrook for 10th oa, especially draft in Vancouver, I guess seabrooks contract could outlive Canucks current gm lol

If Seabrook had been willing to waive to Vancouver would the Canucks be better with Seabrook instead of Myers...plus moving up in the draft.

That’s a ton of term to give to a guy to show the kids the ropes and eat some minutes, in the middle of a rebuild, I’m sure you could have done the same trick in the trade market or bargain free agents for next 3 or 4 years til your kids are ready and that contract isn’t in the way, Tb suckered them also, 5 million dollar forward and pay top dollar for also in picks and prospects. It’s amazing how many gms smile and keep buying high and the smart gms keep plucking off the buy low and give them opportunities and sell high on them. That seabrook contract might be a touch too long to say that they would be better off with him over Myers, but I would gamble to say it’s close especially if it meant byram over podkizn

And there’s a built in excuse with that trade over a free agent you picked out.
