Trade with Vegas just to show cap works

If Colin Miller is moved will be interesting to see what the actually return is people swing from first round picks and prospects to the TML fan earlier that showed a 5th and 6th rounder lol

Your value slightly above mine I think something like Bear+2nd and 3rd for both. Bear+3rd and 5th for Miller? That #8 pick would be my Nuge insurance player in 2-3 years if Nuge leaves that player can step into top 6 role

That's a very creative and intelligent idea. I know that Las Vegas would make that trade; the question is whether it's enough for Edmonton. Now add Connor Brown for Matthew Benning and you have seriously improved the Oilers. Nice job!

Would still need to add a goalie as well. I think giving up your first is a little too much too. Oilers will need to get rid of some salary. Trading out Russel could help us out. Also need a good winger to play with nuge.

Not really my valuation, I just saw Vegas as a potential first round pick swap partner. I think the Oilers should aim to keep the pick but if they want to trade back, I think there will be some options.

I'm not confident trading Russell, Sekera, or Lucic is very feasible right now. The contracts are bad and I don't think the players are very enticing to other teams. Looking for some solutions without relying on cap relief might be the only option this season.
