With Kadri and Marleau to the Kings

Too much Zitsev

Was thinking about this, isn't it kinda strange that the two guys most often talked about as players the Leafs should/need to move for cap space both make trade requests? Seriously what are the odds that they were both gonna ask to be traded, and Marleau to teams that have almost the worst odds of winning the cup next season makes little sense. I get the family angle for Marleau but didn't he move his family to Toronto? It all seems a bit fishy, wonder if there's more to the story is all.

Well, wouldn't that be bonus to be able to get rid of Zaitsev cap free. Just thought the Marleau/Kadri trade made sense since the Leafs have limited....maybe only the Kings for Marleau. I still think Zaitsev can be traded thought the Leafs won't get playing value back in a trade. But agree with you, if the statements that were quoted in Russian are true, Zaitsev is best not being a Leaf.

I could imagine that the Toronto media and leafland backlash would almost certainly take a toll on anyone... and if they didn't have to put up with that BS, then why would they?

Id give him away for nothing to get the cap space myself
