Description
Rumour # 1 - Marner refuses to move off AM money and.. CJ was telling the truth.. Dubas trades his rights before July 1st. Traded to Minny for Dumba and Greenway.. a trade discussed on a previous AGM

Rumour # 2 - Z wants out and at least 5 teams are interested. There have been a few AGMs with Z for Honka, and it makes sense to me. Both players could use a fresh start and I think Z would look good paired with Miro.

Rumour # 3 - Connor Brown has been traded to Edmonton for a 3rd for like forever.

Rumour # 4 - Collin Miller is apparently on the trade block and because we are leaf fans we must trade for every RHD available.

Rumour #5 - LA/Leaf talks re: a Marleau trade. Occurs after Marleau's bonus is paid and Honka and Timashov are packaged in the trade for a pick, Could be higher, could be lower, whatever...

UFA signing - Duchene signing based on Evolving Wild examples.. plus I added some just to get away from the "he'll never sign for that" convo..

TBH - I hope all the rumours are true, because this roster looks pretty good to me..

Don't want to see Marner go, but this is the type of package that could work! At least those are the foundational pieces.

And yes this team does look quite good!

Rumours this early in the offseason rarely come true. Does give us some insight as to who will be moved.

Looked like dubas did not intend on moving zaitsev but did intend on moving Marleau. Johnsson May go to arbitration.

The marner situation will most likely be resolved without having to move him. I don’t think dubas is in on any move for miller. He may have some higher ambitions. I’m not sure why but I just get that feeling.

Yeah, I could see Duchene getting more, I mean if the Skinner rumours are true, that is.. I did take his projected cap hit from Evolving Wild and even added some. But given how crazy some of the rfa/ufa numbers that are being speculated on, well.. anything reasonable like this Duchene example starts to seem pretty unreasonable..

I'd hate to lose Marner, too. But it doesn't mean the leafs couldn't build a better team without him..

Too true... I fully expect the rumour mill to kick it into high gear, and the rumblings will grow to a roar until they likely end up in a whimper.

I agree though, that when names start popping up it often means they could end up on the way out. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Marleau has played his last game as a leaf..
