Really? ok, Gretzky, Messier trade, Jagr trade, Seguin trade, Joe Thornton trade, Yashin trade, Lindros trade. I could even add Panarin for Saad trade as kinda pretty bad.

So why do you think Seabs Keith and Perlini trade for Hoffman is that bad. Seabs only will hit at $4m which is not that horrible, yes he had not the best year, but he could rebound and playing under familiar system with Q could benefit. Also Keith is still good at $5M, he can still fetch a 1st rounder at TDL. Plus Perlini is a 3rd at worst. So 1st and 3rd plus $4M Seabs for only 1 year of Hoffman contract, I don't think its the worst trade ever. Call it good or bad, but not horrible. And obviously Q factor is a big factor in my reasoning, Q might want his 2 go to guys who know his system and ready to roll.

My Lindholm trade, perhaps needs a little more, like 2nd rounder.
