I'm a Flames fan so somewhat unbiased. For Edmonton this is a short term franchise altering move that doesn't come for free. Holland would love cap relief for the re-tool. For Ottawa, they are one of the only teams with cheap promise/RFA talent able to take on 2 more crap contracts besides Ryan's. It serves as a bridge (Brodie/Sekera) for their very young blueline to be sheltered.
