Patrick Marleau has a full NMC so he has the right to veto any trade, waiver, or demotion to the AHL. He would not accept a trade to a rebuilding team at 40 years old from a Cup contender.

Taking on Callahan's contract is worth more than a pick swap to move up to 8 positions.

Kuffner is not going to be signed as an UDFA and traded 3 months later.

Tatar got a 1st 2nd 3rd from Vegas and you dont think nylander would at least command that?

Lucic is on a bad team, the trade is to get zegras, and who cares about all the prospects traded away when you have these players in 2020.
