This is my second one of the offseason, After the first round of the playoffs, we could have some trades/blockbusters,etc. I love doing this haha so just go with it, I am going to sign all RFAs and the previous cap hit, minus a year so they are eligible for RFA. Flyers can do so much this offseason and its all of the matter if they will do it or not
1.Sign RFAs
2. Trade #1, Flyers trade 2 B prospects, Two 2nds and Hagg to VGK for Karlsson and Eakin
This trade makes sense for both sides, Vegas is in a deep cap crunch and has little to no prospects left in the pipeline. Karlsson wants more than Vegas can afford and they are looking the ship him. They also can clear more cap by dumping Eakin as well. They can get rid of Karlsson and have and younger and cheaper player (Cody Glass) take his place. They have more cap and can sign free agents to replace Eakin for a cheaper price. They get Hagg who is not good, but is a cheap and can play in the Top 6 D and he may just need a change of scenery, They get Rubstov and Laberge who are B and C prospects who have top 6 upside and could surprise some people. This will replenish their pipeline. They get 2 seconds which is more ammo to aquire a better player or move out more bad contracts. Flyers get a 2C, who is as good defensively as he is offensively and that was a problem that Fletcher said he needed to Address in the Offseason. They can sign him for maybe 5 years at 6.5 million. They get Eakin, who is role player and can play on the Penalty Kill, which is a huge problem they need to address and it is within this trade. He is a one year rental, they do not resign him after this year, as hopefully frost can take his place. Let me know about this trade, it could be completely off, but it makes sense for both sides I believe.
3. Trade #2 Spurgeon to the Flyers for Prospects and Picks
Minnesota starts their rebuild by trading JS, RHD is a flyers need and Spurgeon fits the bill. Fletcher likes as he had him in Minnesota, he in a contract year so resigning him is a possibility. Minnesota gets picks and B/C prospects, they have not been winning with this core and need a shake-up. They get multiple picks they can use and 11OA. This could be off but I feel like it makes sense.
4. Buyout Mac and Sign Talbot to back-up and mentor Hart....
