Moving on from Petey
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AntiAnalytics</b></div><div>Yeah, i think the Sabres happily stick with Cozens at $7mil per
I do think u guys can find someone to take him though</div></div>
We don’t want anyone to take him. He’s still an elite 1C despite his recent offensive struggles. There’s just a very loud minority of fans that don’t like Pettersson for whatever reason, even though he was our best player last year and was still great this year. He’s struggling right now but playing through an injury and still playing great defensively

Soft players Ive seen people offer for Brady
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AC14</b></div><div>Well, Vancouver seems to be doing pretty good without one, Carolina does as well,
Toronto although not a lot of playoff success, that’s not a forward issue and it’s certainly not an issue Brady Tkachuk would solve, Matthew maybe, but their issue is mainly on the backend.
New Jersey was great last year and not so much this year, not sure what to credit that to. Maybe they could use him?
St Louis doesn’t really need him, Neighbors has kind of filled that role as a net front, physical player
Buffalo is a jumbled mess but they have a couple of guys that fit that bill.
Almost every team would love to have him sure. But you could say that about 5 or 6 guys on most teams.
The question is how much more of being terrible is a guy like that who comes from a family that is notorious about looking out for themselves most in terms of franchise they play for and how much money they are paid.going to put up with?
Ottawa shouldn’t trade Tkachuk unless they have to. He has all of the tools to be an absolute menace. He just hasn’t refined the details to his game the way Matthew has. Good news for him is he has a really good support system. Bad news for Ottawa is that support system knows how to get themselves in the best situation possible for themselves.</div></div>
I’d classify JT Miller as a high end power forward for the Canucks (better player but not as physical as Brady)

Lmao this is a terrible trade for the Canucks. Garland was one of our best forwards all season long and is actually worth his contract. We aren’t trading him for an overpaid, bad 3rd pair dman who’s already a buyout candidate 1 year into his contract

Blow it up as much as we can
Hoglander isn’t available. With their current cap crunch, the Canucks are going to rely heavily on him to be a top 6 producer next year at an insanely cheap cap hit. Trading him for a much older player who we can’t afford doesn’t make any sense at all.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>theleano1</b></div><div>Rather keep Hronek. Value aside he just fits on the roster better</div></div>
I gotta agree, he fits well with Hughes and Canucks system. The value is generous I think, but not really fitting the right needs for the Canucks. RD is their biggest weakness depth-wise.

I think one problem is they are also looking for an RD even with Hronek on board, not Lindell. But I'm curious to see what the Van fans will say.

something tells me some investment in the blue line might make more sense than a $4M fourth line center.

Hawks obviously decline. They wouldn't trade Donato for that 5th if Rakell wasn't in the deal. Can't imagine the Hawks would have any interest in Rakell w/ 4 years left on his deal.
Canucks decline too. Graves won't be that easy to move.

If Clayton Keller doesnt want to go to Utah what would a trade look like
Not sure if the Canucks would go after him or not, but if they did I assume a package starts with Lekkerimaki + a 1st + Mikheyev (for cap reasons)

hronek
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SlafCaufZuki</b></div><div>How about a Matheson for Hronek swap?</div></div>
Canucks wouldn’t have interest in Matheson because of his history with Pettersson
Plus he’s 4 years older and wouldn’t get the PP time or top pairing minutes that have been huge for his offensive production in Montreal, so he’d likely be a 30-35 point dman who struggles defensively for us. Not the right fit

a bath for hronek
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>theleano1</b></div><div>Canucks pass. Batherson is a great player no question but the appetite isn't big enough to move Mikheyev if means losing Hronek. Moving Hronek means we'd only have Juulsen as our only RHD with team control. Moving Hronek leaves to big of a hole on our Defense</div></div>
Agreed. The only way VAN moves Hronek is if the contract ask gets WAY out of their comfort zone. I've been predicting for a while on this site that he'll re-up for $7.75m x 8.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kyle_Okposo_Lover</b></div><div>Way too Much for Podkholzin. Could get him for that third alone I'm sure.</div></div>
Canucks aren't trading him for a 3rd. He's defensively responsible and cheap so it's worth it just to keep him and hope he breaks through next season. He's looked good since being called up and I could see him taking a step like Hoglander did this year.
