Small but crucial changes
I assume "small" was intended to be ironic? I would characterize at least two of those trades as blockbusters.

2019 RFA moves
Little trade is questionable because he has a full NMC next year. Also Connor and Laine (especially Connor) are gonna get more than what you have.
Also if Chevy gives Myers a pay-rise he'll have lost his marbles. 6.5 million for a 3rd pairing Dman is too much.

Both trades are fair value. Could see Islanders doing that trade but the lightning dont need another center at all. Like Gofnut999 said they have a use for miller over another center.

Willy to enjoying life by the Bay
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mmobley</b></div><div>Thanks for the comment!
The only challenge would be convincing Toronto to trade within their division. But I think the trade helps both sides. Nylander might be that extra piece it needs to take that next step in the post-season.
Johnson gives TOR a very experienced W/C and success playoff producer, who is in is prime and on a very good contract at $5,000,000 cap hit, especially considering that the cap should continue to increase. Cal Foote is also the type of RHD prospect that TOR is looking to add to it's lineup in the next few season, in not next season.</div></div>
I abso-fricking-lutely love Cal Foote and his two-way game! I would love him to be on Leafs. If these are the type of trades within division than it should happen. I love Johnsons play in playoffs. Where do I sign? :)

Nino to AZ
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mmobley</b></div><div>Thanks for the response! I could easily see ARI having to give up a little more to get Nino in return. Nino is tough to replace because of his potential and when he is hot, he can put pucks in the net. ARI may have to give up someone like Strome and Demers and could hold onto their 3rd round pic.
What are your thoughts? Thanks!</div></div>
I do like Strome but I think he's more valuable than Nino just based off of potential. The Wild really need right shot forwards, do you think Arizona would be willing to give up Fischer? If not I think Dvorak could be a fit for us, Arizona would probably have to add like a 2nd or 3rd with Dvorak and that would be pretty close in value I think.

I think Nino is a fit for Arizona but I'm not a big fan of Panik and we already have 3 guys that can play bottom pairing RD (Pateryn, Prosser, and Murphy). I think Arizona would have to give up more to get him. The Wild need quality and not quantity at this point.

New core
I think Bratt could be moved in a trade, just not this one. As of now, the Devils have 5 players signed for 20-21, with 55 mil to spend if the cap stays the same. I calculate 35 mil to be spent on Hall/Hischier/MoJo/Zacha/Wood/Vatanen/Butcher. That leaves 20 million for 11 players to fill a roster. Giving Perry 6 plus means you’re filling out the team with a bunch of cheap kids. They definitely have some good ones, but not as many as we’re looking at here. I could run a mock-up on our end using your trade and see what works. Buying out Zajac would be an option, but he brings the stuff that goes unnoticed by the casual fan, which would thus create a problem while fixing another.

Karlsson=Cup?
Ottawa will get at least one first round pick even is Ryan is included because Karlsson is that good.
I think something like a 1st, a 2nd, Timo Meier, Chris Tierney, Dillon, and another prospect would get the job done for SJ.
I know everyone wants to put Erik Karlsson with the Sharks, and as a hard core Sharks fan, I do too, but that is a LOT to give up for a guy who has been hurt a lot lately, and is arguable the same player as Brent Burns (Karlsson is much better in his own end). I don't think he's worth it for a team that hasn't been able to find any young top six players of late.

July 1st shake up- thoughts? What you like and changes please
Like the Tampa trade, it works for both teams like you said, secondly I would say that Arizona is overplaying Detroit for AA, but it's not too bad, could be fixed by getting a pick back as part of the deal.

Pretty hard to sign Jonathon Bernier when he's already agreed to sign with Detroit, He's getting around 3 years $9 million from the reports or slightly less.

The ideas are pretty good. I think you should add a little more in all of those trades from Arizona's perspective. They are getting solid additions to their team and giving up not that solid assets away. I mean, for example...
- TB could use a cheap lower line player like Cousins in the trade...
- You could take a cap dump from DET to make the trade for tempting to them
- NJ might want to have something more... In my eyes, Hjalmarsson and Severson are pretty much in the same level, but Hjalmarsson is older and more injury-prone, so I think they'd want little more to make it more tempting deal for them.
All in all, a good concept, but needs a little work.

Playoff bound?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mmobley</b></div><div>That's a fair point. You're right, DAL would more likely trade a player that wasn't on their active roster in order to build for the playoffs. The trade was based off of Honka's current status on the team and was partially based on how his development with DAL has been lagging this season. A fresh start somewhere might be good for him. If Honka was still in limbo with DAL and DAL also gained a D with cup experience and solid 1st round prospect like Merkley, who is producing in his first year in the AHL, I think they might think about it. Hjalmarsson could also act as a bit younger and a short term fill in for Hamuis, play similar games a this stage of their career. Fair to make those arguments?</div></div>
Absolutely. Honka has been grossly mismanaged by the last two head coaches (Hitchcock & Ruff). Should the next guy come in and do the same thing, I absolutely think they should move him before the deadline before he turns into another Oleksiak or Nemeth (both of whom are doing really well on their respective teams). With Pateryn and Hamhuis becoming free agents, I fully expect Honka to finally become a full-time player for Dallas. If he is still the 7th defenseman, we definitely need to get something out of him before his value plummets further.
