hows this for crazy
Im pretty sure the Canadians would run out the room screaming. A good RHD prospect (which they need desperately) and move up two picks for the most confusing player in the league and likely Levshunov who has a longer to the NHL timeline than reinbacher (even if he may be the better prospect).

Polling the value
I may be the only one that thinks this but I think that both teams say no. Ottawa would be right up against the cap and I think that they need to make a bigger move than a Garland trade to compete (which is what they want). I also think Vancouver would be a little nuts trading away a winger when thats their biggest need, especially with a number of their players likely hitting free agency.

Devils Goalie Trade
In a world where Saros is even available (I don't think he is), I think that the only party that says yes is the Devs. Just a first and a third is not even close to enough for Saros. Despite a down year Saros is one of the best goalies in the league and would probably cost something more like Holtz and a first and maybe even another prospect (which is a hard pill to swallow). Good goalies are rare in the NHL these days and Saros is just too valuable. Also I doubt Nashville would even consider absorbing that spurgeon contract. Also I really don't understand all this Marco Rossi talk, he's a great piece for the wild and people have been throwing him in trades (I honestly think that the wild should consider him untouchable with faber and Kaprizov).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>svfsdv</b></div><div>I don't hate it. I do think the Utah would say no way. Because their terrible and those draft picks are super high. And because why would they take Kampf if they are already taking Marner. Its more likely if you keep Kampf out of it. But even then, they say no.</div></div>
I get where you're coming from, except, I have to disagree. Marner is a perennial star that has been heavily devalued because of some poor playoff play. But I blame that on system and surrounding rather than the player. With the right group I believe that Marner has the potential to be great (even during playoff time). I know that people will disagree with me but I mean come on, when he's on he's ON and can dominate a game, I just think that Toronto is the wrong place for him. In regard to Utah you easily pay two 1sts to move your team into playoff contention (which the coyotes were aiming for before the move to Utah). Utah is not an expansion team, they are a relocation and the Coyotes proved a number of times during the past two years that there is something there. If this was Seattle a few years ago, then I would completely agree with your point that they need those firsts, but Utah already has a prospect pool and Keller needs a partner. I also put Kampf in their because cap space wise, they are loaded and I don't think that Toronto would say yes to just 2 1sts and Crouse because as I said before Marner IS a star.

Why would the buffs let go of UPL and why would the devs want zegras? He Doesn't really fit their needs

The whole point of this deal would be if BT requests a trade. It obviously wouldn't happen unless he does, thats why this is a hypothetical. The Devils wouldn't dump the house unless they could get a discount, not trade for him when his value is at its peak (4 years left).

Trade based on Zegras Rumours
I don't think that Norris is the type of player that Anaheim is looking for, even without the injury history. A 8 mil cap hit for a one season sample size (great season) is pretty hard to say yes to in general. And Anaheim are in need of another playmaker like a zegras at his best, not a two way goal scorer (Gauthier is in the league this coming season, and mctavish and Leo C also exist)

Even if he hypothetically requests a trade? That seems hefty even without a trade request (again I think nemec is a top 15 prospect in the league). (Im also assuming you mean Nemec cause the devils don't own the rights to necas)

If Brady tkachuk deal were to happen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MoxNix</b></div><div>Horrible for Calgary.
And no Brady to NJ won't be happening especially not if NJ isn't even willing to trade 3rd line players or meh prospects like Mercer and Casey for him. That'd take at least your 2024 1st and a player/prospect a whole lot better than either of those two.</div></div>
Kinda poorly wrote my summary, I meant no Casey, mercer, and 1st available in this trade because they would have been involved in a BT trade (sorry about that) (Also the BT trade is entirely hypothetical and a cool idea). I guess this trade is completely based on someones opinions on holtz (who I'm high on) so I can get why some would hate this deal. I just really felt that if it wasn't for Lindy Ruff people would think Holtz is a potential 30+ goal star (He played 11 min a night).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GDubb2Shiesty</b></div><div>I have no clue why there's so many rumors saying he wants out when the other "sources" are twitter fan pages. Staios said he isn't moving him but I'd have to imagine the asking price would be pretty steep. Tkachuk's 6'4, captain material, built for playoff hockey, 35 goal scorer and plays the game the way not many do. I think it would be something around Nemec, 10th a couple later picks in the next couple drafts and a guy like Palat for money reasons. I think every team would be in on Brady if he was made available but I dont think it makes sense to move him at this point in time</div></div>
The rumors are heating up after a recent spittin chiclets episode. I know that's the equivalent of getting info from a door knob but it is an interesting idea. I agree with a lot you are saying but I think you are slightly undervaluing a top 10 pick, also I don't think any team in the league should consider that Palat deal, it is truly atrocious value (and I'm a devs fan). I could also see an extra first being needed to make the move go through, but BT is currently 8.5 million for the next four years, and while he is a great player I think the contract is a little overvalued (I know thats hot take). But I feel like we need to see more from him to be worth a top 15 prospect in the NHL in Nemec (and Right handed) along with multiple other 1sts.

So if a deal were to happen what's price for BT? If he does want out there is a sure loss in value. This trade is completely hypothetical, I understand that he hasn't expressed any desire to leave Ottawa.

I know you're gonna hate this Leafs fans but money matters. If you get Kampf to waive, I think Utah is a team he would waive for btw, then do it. Clear 10 mil, two massive firsts for draft capital, and Lawson Crouse (who I think fits Berube's style and screams leafs success story). Again Leafs fans you're gonna hate this but for value this would be gold. Utah gets their perennial star next to Clayton Keller who gets his weapon.

If Brady tkachuk deal were to happen
if the Brady tkachuk were to happen (no Casey, 1st, or Mercer) then I think to get our goalie a deal like this would have to be made. This would leave the team with 5 mil in cap to still make some moves in free agency. The Flames get a high ceiling prospect in Holtz and an interim goalie in Jake Allen, no first put the third should help move the trade along. Flames only retain 1 Mil to keep the devils afloat for resigns and new faces.

Dawson Mercer is a ? prospect who can play second line minutes right off the bat and get at least 50+ points on the right line. Seamus Casey is a B-B+ prospect who seems near NHL ready and has the benefit of being right handed and offensive minded. The tenth overall pick allows the Sens to pick again within a top ten where picks 4-10 are right about the same in quality and could easliy grab a great prospect. The 4th gives the devils some draft capital which they need while the Sens have 4 fourth rd picks. This deal also gives the Devils enough capital to address goalie while having some light spending money for forward depth.
