<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jd__</b></div><div>If Toronto threw in their 1st what do you think?</div></div>
Lindholm is worth more than just a late 1st. The real problem is the only thing of interest to Calgary in the OP is the Rangers late 1st, the rest is of very little (if any) value to the Flames. A few years ago Kakko would've been a valuable addition but his stock has dropped, IMO he's worth a mid 2nd at most now, not the 2nd OA he was picked with. And then 50% retention on both Flames players too.
On top of which Conroy would prefer useful players and good prospects over picks, Calgary wants to do more of a quick retool rather than a rebuild. Many Flames fans would prefer picks for a full rebuild but majority owner Murray Edwards doesn't even allow management to use the word rebuild.

Probably not enough talent in any of those packages for Calgary to pull the trigger on a deal. Gotta give Conroy credit for not making a deal yet. Lindholm's All Star selection has increased his trade value. Colorado or Boston. Who's the highest bidder?

Terrible for Calgary. That probably gets Tanev but not Lindholm.

I would definitely take any of Tomasino, Pelletier, McMichael, Pinto, Brink, Kotchetkov, Vlasic, Spence, Voronkov, or Wolf over Broberg at this point in time

The Atheltic has their market value. It's not perfect and I wouldn't use it as a be all end all but a good reference and baseline (especially good when estimating value of players you aren't very familiar with)

Thanks for being open-minded.
As for where you can find out a players market value. There're several different ways and options to do so.
The first is through Evolving-Hockey and its contract projection feature. It's unfortunately stuck behind a paywall.
<a href="https://evolving-hockey.com/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Evolving-Hockey </a>
The second is through the Athletic and Dom L.'s GSVA based score cards for players. That's what these numbers specifically are based off of. <a href="/users/NHLfan10506" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@NHLfan10506</a> recently used these to determine the most valuable players in the league in one of his latest posts.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jd__</b></div><div>Even with Lyubushkin being 50% retained, almost an overpayment. Yes he would do better in Toronto but he has been THAT bad in Anaheim this year. If Toronto really wants him this is the right deal but that’s my thoughts on it.
From what’s been seen in the past, Nedeljkovic is a great backup, hasn’t had luck as a starter, so depending on how the Leafs would use him here, changes the trades outcome, but by the looks of things you have him scratched which is a bit odd
I like the Kuraly trade brings some depth into the bottom 6 for not much of a cost
Larsson trade seems even on both sides, just depends on if Seattle wants to keep Tolvanen or not, Kraken are getting good value back though.
Perry signing is nice too
Not sure why the Leafs bring Bogosian back</div></div>
Thanks.
Lyubushkin - willing to maybe overpay a bit because of familiarity with the team, has played well with Rielly in the past so if thats the tier of defenseman that I'm looking to acquire he'd be my top target in that range
Ned - just need a solid 3rd goalie that could maybe go on a run in the playoffs if you had to turn to him, only scratched bc Jones has been playing well in Toronto too, they'd be more like 2A/2B
Kuraly - agree, and like having another C option as I don't 100% trust Domi defensively as a C but he's been really good
Tolvanen - has a lot of hits and could complement a top 6, agree not sure if they'd move him but that's why I threw in Robertson to compensate - all good if not though, could slide Jarnkrok up and trade for another 4th liner
Bogo - want a right hand shot depth D, we don't really have any. Doesn't have to be him, but solid vet with team familiarity wouldn't be bad. Not important though

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jd__</b></div><div>Looking back at this, obviously a lot of flaws.. one being that Hanifin should get more in return, at least Poitras. But I think the idea of this is realistic anyway</div></div>
You are either overvaluing pending UFA Hanafin, or you are undervaluing Poitras. That is particularly true from the perspective of Bruins needs, which are NHL center talent and draft picks/prospects to restock their pipeline. There is probably no trade that includes Poitras that the Bruins would do for a pending UFA.

There is something to be said for developing your own and reaping the benefits of young, talented players on ELC.
Lohrei is the perfect example.
Boston keeps him as well as Poitras and Lysell.

Avs decline. Two rentals, retention or not, won't get you Byram, the guy they would want to replace Byram if they actually considered moving him, and their first.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JDCapfriendly4life</b></div><div>Seiders potential is thru the roof so if I were a Leafs fan I’d be ecstatic</div></div>
I forgot to mention something I was thinking about. In the big picture, yeah Seider would be absolutely perfect for Toronto. Yet, this season they still need Nylander to try and win the cup. Not having someone come in from Detroit in the deal to pick up the slack (like David Perron), it would weaken the Leafs too much up front!

Stevie knew what he was doing going off the board to draft him 6th overall.. heck, if he becomes 75% of Cale Makar, he'd be pretty well untouchable for sure.

I think you would have to include Liljegren and delete other assets as needed to even it out. The Wings don't have a right side replacement for Seider, you're right to ask if the Wings would consider moving him at all, but if they got Liljegren and Nylander (and a 1st?) for him, I kinda wonder.. then again, Liljegren and Nylander for Seider might not make Leafs fans too happy lol. Dunno.

Sens 2025 semi realistic in my eyes
Can't see the Devils parting with 2 1sts + for what would likely be just 5 years of DeBrincat.
Better to trade for him as that cost would likely be a fair bit lower than that offer sheet, to say nothing of royally pissing the Sens front office off.
I like DeBrincat as a target for the Devils though and would happily move Holtz as the main piece in such a trade to get it done.
