He hasn't shown anything that should make a GM think he can be a top 4 defensmen in the NHL. Also Stafford and Hartnell are both starting to regress (stafford faster) why would any team keep both? The jets are much worse because of these trades they before. Keep Trouba he is very very good.</i></div></div>

First of all, Hartnell is still getting 50 PPY and that is being on the 2nd or 3rd line with less talent than Little/Wheeler. Stafford is a plug in for 1 year. Could really be anyone in that spot.

Second, Trouba hasn't done a whole hell of a lot in the NHL and for what he is expecting to be paid, he isn't worth it! In fact, he regressed last season. Plus, it seems like he wants the hell out of WPG so you might as well get some useful pieces for him.

As for Nurse, being a 5-6 D man on an awful defensive team does not help the growth of a young player. Put him with someone who he can actually learn from and maybe he turns out to be a solid 3-4 guy.</i></div></div>

Thats poor player evaluation. Davidson on the same team showed he is becoming a top 4 defensemen. Nurse is not showing that same growth. Nurse wasn't a 5-6 on Edmonton he was a below NHLer. Oilers were also not that bad. Their shot stats improved as the year went on. Sorry but Hartell is regressing. He isn't the same playing he was 2 years ago.., Can he still play a middle 6 role yes but players once regression starts it tends to hit hard so every year becomes a gamble. Now trouba... Go find his numbers away from Mark Stuart the last 2 seasons they are very very good, top pairing good in fact him and big buff last year in the 440 mins they played together were an elite pairing, top 5 in the NHL. PPY can be a misleading stat. It doesn't give any context like usage or ice time. To see how impressive Trouba is go look up Mark Stuart he played big mins with 3 guys in his career... Trouba, Bigg Buff and Chara. His numbers are best with Trouba even as he was aging and regression hit.</i></div></div>

Nurse is younger than Davidson. He played tougher minutes. He played the most amount of minutes out of any rookie in the NHL at 20. Ristolainen looked lost out there his first year also aside from when he had the puck. Nurse will be a top 4 for sure. His physical attributes alone will get him there. I just think he will take longer
