If he's not succeeding with 17 minutes in ice time how is reducing his ice time going to make him better. He is a dump to 31/32 teams now and likely won't change much for the better. Paying the price now rather than wait and hope is just easier and could even try trading schmidt right away as well. The pick is likely 2025 20-32 via panthers so equivalent to that is kinda mesar so right now would you trade mesar (ik he wouldn't with the connection to slav but for simplicity) with Anderson for FC?</div></div>
can you tell us how many 3rd pass did he get this season?

Habs will deal that pick for another 22-24 years old rookie, no need to spend the famous dump cash challenge of your

he is a cap dump to a few fans around this site, not teams ... this is the point so far.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Howie</b></div><div>Then why is Anderson pp with 0 goals. Anderson is blocking Ylonen's ice time. Anderson has almost 17 or 18 minutes and Ylonen is definitely near 10 minutes. Imagine what Ylonen could be with pp 1 time and those minutes. He's being blocked and paying to remove the problem now allows for more development and removes any risk of Anderson being more expensive to dump (remember physical players like him tend to drop off significantly and earlier than skill guys)</div></div>
he hit the net, the post most of the time but finishing is the problem here, not the player. The day he will take rhythm in scoring few of you here are going to be pissed to see us 1st for him again.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Howie</b></div><div>Save cap when they exit the rebuild 5.5m that can be used on extensions and attracting elite talent. Also cuts the dump off before it costs a fortune to do so like oilers with Campbell needing 2+ firsts. Anderson also doesn't benefit his linemates and makes them worse while blocking younger players from more ice time. Makes sense to trade him</div></div>
the next year cap 87,5 next 92,5 then 96,5 then 100,5 tell me when habs are going to be in a cap crushed situation again!?

LOL Anderson drew more penalties and got much of those 3rd passes or cut play in the neutral zone, he still has the speed but not playing in a north/south system or old crush-the-net system ... and would cost to «dump» because of money or points ... yeah Hockey is to score, but 90% of it is something else that most of you do not know yet. Just like Lehkonen was blasted a few years back, Anderson will thrive somewhere else and everyone will be surprised ... oh and he is the kind of player that teams love along the board in playoff or playoff push just to say ... a cap dump, pay to take him, LOOL !!

Whats the point of paying to clear Campbell to take Anderson for Free?
Im a Habs fan and even i was like Da Fuq?
Swap Anderson and Harris
Norlinder and Trudea Swap(Trudeaus better but more well rounded while Norlinder is a PP QB and not much else)
Then EDM get more , saves cap
I think CHI needs more or MTL needs to RS on Campbell of at least 1.5m
I still say give them all the EDM return but Holloway and have CHI send us Dach #2</div></div>
well finally someone trying to argue instead of triviality thank you sire !

The only reason to pay a fortune to dump Campbell is to gain cap flexibility and by including Anderson as part of the return, you completely counter the point of spending to move him.
If that was all it took for CHI to take Campbell, we'd just skip the middleman and then send something like a 2nd for a goalie like Allen and, in doing so, save ourselves from losing McLeod & Holloway and from committing 5.5mil for 3 more years to Anderson.</div></div>
and as always you always diminish the players ... kudos to say I will always disagree with you

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>emoprettyboy</b></div><div>Credit where it's due, a lot of the time when people do stuff this extravagent it somehow turns into 1 team giving up a 6th rounder and a 4th line bum and somehow ending up with connor mcdavid at the end of it, but this feels relatively even. I'm sure there could be a bit of nitpicking here and there, probably to do with Josh Anderson and his contract, but this is interesting and there isn't some team getting totally hosed or the opposite, on first glace at least. Think the bigger point of contention will be that the Hawks will need more to take Campbell and don't give up the 3rd. Perry is impossible to really say because of whatever the hell is going on with him right now</div></div>
I love to try to be creative and create AGM totally out of the blue and see the reactions.

it's an opinion but I disagree! You guys always blast other players wildly and it's pure emotion, not a good judgment. Can you see a speedy hitter like McGod and bring some needed help? Allen is way better than all your goalies and can stop the D-core fall. Norlinder and Kapanen are second-zone prospects, but give you a chance to grab a good youngster and hope one of them blossoms ( Kapanen is that kind of kid to us so far ).
It's a loss-loss-loss deal but those subtractions help chemistry in all those teams
