<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MarcC29</b></div><div>The Sabres aren't getting Grubauer for two 4th round picks. Considering there's likely to be several teams interested, the price will be at least a 2nd, if not more. And he absolutely is not signing that contract for only $1 mil per season. I'd also be pleasantly surprised if the Sabres are able to get anything in a trade for Lehner. I don't see anyone being desperate enough to give up assets when they could always wait until free agency, since the Sabres probably won't qualify him. This team would be just as bad considering there's barely any turnover of the current roster.</div></div>

The price for Grubauer and Lehner isn't what I think will happen, obviously, I think it's more likely he'll get a similar return as Talbot got in 2015. Not exact but close. Contract wise, hmm, I can see closer to 2-3 million on a 1 or 2 year deal. I'm more suggesting the Sabres should make a play for Grubauer. Grubauer being an RFA gives the Caps a bit more leverage in a potential trade too. Yes, there's not a lot of turnover, but I don't think there needs to be much turnover. Depth is the problem here in Buffalo. Most people suggest trading ROR, Ristolainen, and Okposo and even Jack, which I don't want to do. At least for Okposo, I wanna see if he can have a bounce back year next season. This team is not as bad as what the standings say. I really think they are just having a Colorado Avs kind of year like they did last year. Do I think they'll bounce back like the Avs next season? Likely no. But they're not as bad as it looks, so I don't think there needs to be a lot of turnover. If the Sabres can win the first pick and add speed to the depth lines, they will improve big time next season.
