Attempting an Eichel Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bluejackets2000</b></div><div>Your witty response only goes to show whose intelligence you are insulting....not the 99.9% of people who read this post... but yours.
Patrick hasn’t even played this year due to injuries, and Van Riems is fifth in scoring for the Flyers, not to mention he’s half way over the hill, and Eichel is just getting started.
In reality...the entire core of the roster that IS contributing to Flyers success you have kept to play with Eichel. JDFitZ was correct and you should just wake up and rejoin reality and stop with this nonsense.</div></div>
Your witty response only goes to show that you did not properly read his quote in which he was responding to.. His response was to the counter-offer of Coots, Konecny, Provy, and Hart. Don't be an ass just to be an ass. Both trades are bad and unrealistic, leave it at that.

Offseason Players
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>niko</b></div><div>Why not try an offersheet Serg instead? Of try and make the Carter deal bigger and attempt to get Ghost back?</div></div>
Why would Philly want to take on Jeff Carter? There may have been some interest during the trade deadline to fill a void (unhealthy Patrick, maturing Frost), but going into next season I doubt there is much interest.

Oshie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>Gusev led the KHL in points last year. Like Kovalchuk the year before.
Kovalchuk got 34 pts in 64 NHL games last year. Oshie got 54 in 69. 14 of Oshie's were on the power play, as were 17 of Kovalchuk's.
Even strength points/game? Oshie=.58 Kovy=.27. So Kovy is about half as good as Oshie, at offense.
Two years back, Gusev and Kovy both played in the KHL. Kovy had one more point. Last year, Gusev improved by a third, making him about 2/3 as good as Oshie, unless league scoring just went up a lot.
Would McPhee give up a younger, potentially more talented player to get an established NHL 30 goal scorer who is obviously better right now, even if they need a big contract and have a couple question marks? That describes the last three big trades he's made, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes.
I see Vegas fans on here claiming Clarkson has to be involved for Gusev, but that's in trades with scrubs and duds coming back. Oshe alone could get Gusev, Merrill, and a 2nd. Adding Clarkson gets another 2nd, or raises the pick to a 1st.</div></div>
Eh, hard to compare Kovy's PPG this year vs. KHL and then translate expectations to Gusev - you can easily do a similar comparison using Panarin and the stats would favor Gusev over Oshie. Not to mention VGK isn't looking to add another high price/long term contract that could potentially turn into an albatross contract with injuries/declining play. I don't think this trade would work for either team based on the "intangibles"

Leafs and CBJ Trade Proposal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SammyT_51</b></div><div>Marner for Jones is fair deal because in Marner you are not getting just the player but the whole thing about him, the name, the personality, the financial options, everything. You would be getting Marner at what, 10-11 per on 7yr deal?.. also 3yrs isnt longterm. Jones would be in high 10s / low 11s range in 3yrs.</div></div>
Disagree. Jones > Marner based on position. The whole name, personality, financial options is a baseless opinion because Jones has just as much name value and better financials - 3 years in the NHL for #1 d-man is absolutely long-term. A team could add a proven veteran on a cup run easily during that time period with the money/term saved (Pavelski, Justin WIlliams, Marleau (didn't work), etc.)

Philly with other d options
Patrick would be #3 Center, allowing Frost some time to adjust to the league and add size. Don't think Jankowski is necessary or realistic, Raffl - Laughton - Hartman seems to be pretty locked in as our 4th line. Although, I could see Hartman being moved as part of a deal.
As for Hamilton, I like him and I think the Canes like him and his deal a lot. Value seems fine in general, both teams could view it as being lopsided though. I just don't view it as a trade that would go through.

Overhaul - Kessel Toffoli Trouba and Hayes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>Radko Gudas is garbage, And he gave Johan Franzen his career ending concussion when he was playing in Tampa he's a cheap shot artist. And he's not a piece that Chevy would take for Trouba.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Phil2893</b></div><div>You hate him but he is good</div></div>
Agreed. Gudas is a completely different player from when he was in Tampa and he can easily slot into the #3 d-man slot. Don't let your bias for the Wings and Trouba being a Michigan boy blind you from making rational statements because you seem adamant to believe that Trouba could only go to the Wings.

Shake up with two big trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingsLover</b></div><div>Subban literally was a Norris finalist in 2018, he missed games this year with injuries yes but he was still great (except for the playoffs but the entire team was flat), and Giroux's point totals weren't close to his in 2018 falling from 102 to 85 (which is obviously still good). You're valuing Giroux much higher than you should. I can see that the trade is probably off as in Gudas' value is more than Bonino's but I felt the 2nd vs 3rd would make that up. If Turris had a season that was of his nature it would have been him going back to Philly but he played awfully last year and would be a huge cap dump. The player I was thinking of sending was Colton Scissions but I decided against it, but now I may have to reconsider with your response. But I stand firmly that Subban and Giroux are of equal value.</div></div>
...and Giroux literally should've won the MVP award last year over Taylor Hall. Sorry, their value maybe close in your eyes, but in the eyes of the franchise and the fans it is so far off. He's their captain and best player and face-off taker. He may not be the #1 center anymore which his switch to wing, but he still ranked top-30 in FO taken and was #4 in FO %. Your valuation is wrong and your beating a dead horse trying to defend it.

Maybe I'm out of the loop... but why would you want to trade Schneider? Especially for the albatross contract that Ryan has..?

The compensation for Parayko is also incorrect. It would be four 1st-round picks because the AAV for compensation is strictly based off 5 years, unless the contract term is less. So, technically from a compensation stand point, Parayko is making $11.2 mil.

Leafs Solve Flyers Offseason Problems Pt.2
Why would this interest the flyers? - because they're removing McDonald's contract? Either way, this is a way overpayment of assets to remove someone who we can live with for the next 3 years. We all want him gone based on his value/contract, but the biggest problem is that he is inserted on our top D-line with Provy... If he was a 5-6th D-men, you would hear less complaining about his impact on this ice and fans could live with that contract since the Flyers are actually in great position when it comes to cap space.
Player Comparison:
Simmonds > JVR
Sanheim (potential) > Gardiner
Myers > Kapanen
McDonald = Bracco.... because honestly, who cares at this point
Not realistic trade and the value is way off..
