<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>IMO, Cooley is certainly a player who *could* drop a bit. I do think he's the 2nd most talented player available, and that he'd be the right pick for Arizona, but people are pretty high on Slaf/Kemell (not me...not in the top 5 at least...). If he gets past Arizona, I could easily see Seattle (Nemec) and Philly (Jiricek) skipping. If either of those teams went off the board, then Columbus takes whichever of Nemec/Jiricek is left, leaving Cooley for Ottawa, which would be insane.

With Savoie, I can see him falling a bit due to size, but at 19OA? Whooooof. GM's have proven inept at identifying skill over size many, many times before, but I'd say it'd be 10 OA at the latest (As a Ducks fan, I'm all in...)

If Lambert slides all the way to 42? Well, then it's further proof that nobody learned from Raty. These &lt;18 year olds playing in Europe don't typically get put into positions to be succesful offensively, leaving their stats in an underwhelming spot. If there was a guy outside of the top 5 that is probably near-NHL ready, it's Lambert, and he's got the skills to back it up.

One of the biggest things that I see here that I can't imagine happening? Casey at 40. IMO he's the top RD available after Nemec/Jiricek, and I'd be extremely surprised if he doesn't go top 25. There's a ton of second tier LD's/RD's, and Casey is, once again just my opinion, the top option available.</div></div>

Lot of truth here, but Button isn't predicting where players go; he's merely expressing whom he likes the most vs whom he likes the least.

His mock drafts are different from his draft rankings. His mock, he has Savoie going 11 to the Sharks, and Savoie, Nazar, Gauthier are all in the same tier of center, and they could all go as high as 5. He has Snuggerud going to the wings and I "guess" they'll take Nazar or Savoie, but we'll see.

love it how people just want to crap on ideas rather than offering constructive criticism.
Obviously, EVERYONE HATER on here has higher knowledge than those who live and work hockey 24/7.
READ THE ARTICLES I POSTED ON THE LINKS. This is from people who ALL THEY DO IS FOLLOW HOCKEY FOR A LIVING&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; NOT FANS LIKE US who think we know what we're talking or posting about.

CHI trade is based on Chicago GM own words stating that he'd like to get a first AND that they would consider moving Dach.
For a 1st, prospect, and proven scorer roster player - that's as good as CHI will get....

The MIN trade is completely based on the fact that Guerin himself has mentioned needing to clear cap space and DOESN'T mind parting with his 1st rd draft pick in order to do so.
Dumba is 6M worth that can REALLY help the wild if off the books to sign Fiala.
Adding in Drouin with salary retention is to allow the wild to remain competitive on ice at a lower cost.

PHI trade is also rumoured speculation that the Flyers would like to go in on Gaudreau (and Gaudrea as well being from South Jersey) to bring him home.
In order for this to happen, cap space needs to be cleared for them and JVR is the first logical choice at 7 MIL/year (1 year remaining). Which can go to signing Johny Hockey.

ARI trade for Weber for a 2nd has been overly reported on since before TDL and conitnues.

What else y'all got? that you think you're more informed and knowledgeable than HOCKEY WRITERS?</div></div>

LOL!!! Have you ever read some hockey writers trade proposals?!! They're laughably bad and this is from guys who have been covering the NHL for years!

These comments aren't from Habs haters, your trades suggested here are just bad and miss the mark by a lot.

-I can't see Chicago trading a recent 3OA pick who's still just 21 years old for a cap dump, a mid tier prospect that's actually a year older than Dach, and a late 1st.

-You *might* get Dumba for Drouin retained &amp; the Edmonton 2nd; you're going to have to add a lot to get their 1st. They can get a dozen better offers if they made Dumba available for trade.

-Weber to Arizona makes sense, I just think 34 OA is too rich a price to pay for the Coyotes. Set your sights lower.

-I can't see Philadelphia unloading a top 5 pick just to get 1 year of JVR off their books. He rebounded enough to put in 24 goals this season so he's still somewhat useful, and he's only being paid $5M against a $7M cap hit. I could see a cap floor team just absorbing his deal for a 3rd/4th rounder, or the Flyers just keep him and flip him out with 50% retention at the deadline. Unless the Flyers are going to be completely unrealistic, I think they realize they need at least a retool and trading a top 5 pick would be lunacy when they don't *need* to clear that cap space.

-The Rangers, however, do need to be mindful of their cap constraints this summer and even though this is an overpay, I think they look to re-sign Ryan Strome or Andrew Copp before they downgrade to Dvorak.

-Somehow this is worse than the Philly trade? You've now taken the 5th overall pick and Jeff Petry and sent them both to Dallas for an okay-to-good prospect and a 36 year old goalie coming off hip surgery that, in the best case scenario, has him back and moving around in late September.
