<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheRealisticGuy</b></div><div>Gurianov has no value
He isn’t worth his QO and he isn’t a good two-way forward
He just have a good shot and speed, that’s it (ok and seize)

Kirby Dach best season was 9 ! Goals &amp; 26 points …
Playing in CHI top 6
Alexis Lafreniere has a 19 goals 31 points seasons &amp; he is currently at 34 points playing in NYR bottom six

Dach was worth the 13th OA pick + the 66th OA pick

Lafreniere is definitely worth more than Dach, so MTL 2023 1st OA

The offer you have with Gurianov + a 2nd is atrocious for them</div></div>

I agree Gurianov's value is low right now, but he's shown enough promise to justify his qualifying offer.
He still needs to work on his engagement level on the defensive side of the puck, but he's producing decently, has had a net positive impact, and fits our style of play.
Some time to fully acclimate through summer/camp and he could be a much more effective player next season and part of a stronger unit with returns from injuries.

Worse case, he's a Hoffman equivalent 3rd line and PP2 shooter. Best case, he can complement Suzuki and Caufield, taking Dach's place on the top line and allowing him to center the 2nd line full time.
There's no reason to not qualify him. He isn't hurting our cap situation and he could be worth keeping. If he isn't, we won't be stuck with him beyond next season.
