Other teams sharks trade that I like

Ferraro doesn’t fit here we need a top 4 RD</div></div>
I don’t see it either but everyone on the original post said the sharks would decline, which i disagree with. If Ottawa wants cap flexibility it works well moving out over $50 mil

You think Marner has more value than Tkachuk after he disappears every playoffs and will want a raise when he’s already overpaid…ok guy

May Day Trades
Ottawa declines, Marner isn't going to sign here and is going to cost too much. Greig is also cost controlled.

I've got a similar list but am just a bit higher on Helenius. Have him at 8.
Really hope one of the top 5 falls to us at 7.

Frankly this trade just doesn't make sense for either team.
Carolina doesn't need Chychrun in the slightest with Orlov, Nikishin, and Skjei already on their left side. And I don't think they should be taking such a risk on Norris when they are in such a win now mode. If Norris gets moved, it would make sense for him to go to a team that is retooling and can be patient with him.
Also, I don't think the Sens should move him. It probably won't be a couple years until he's back to his usual self but I'm willing to wait because he's an incredible 2-way sniper. He will be a very good player again and if we move him to clear cap in a year we won't even be all that competetive in it will come back to haunt us.
As for Ottawa, I don't see why we would want Kotkeniemi. He's not all that, is making too much, and we are already deep down the middle. And Necas would just be more of what plagued us this season. He's a good player, don't get me wrong, but he's not strong defensively and we need more veterans. We shouldn't be spending cap on 1-way wingers. We really need some solid, hard to play against 2-way veterans that make like 2-4 mil ish.
We should just trade Chychrun for a solid veteran and a pick to replenish our prospect pool and hang on to Norris.
Brannstrom to Carolina for Fast would be a more sensable trade.

Ottawa should jump all over this but if Briere didn’t accept a 1st for 3 years for Laughton I don’t why he would trade him for a 4th and an average at best prospect just cause of the Philly connection

Farabee Dillon and Perron
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Apparently they may be listening to offers on frost, Farabee and Laughton</div></div>
Laughton I could just see them moving on from for any fair market value of picks. Something like a 2nd rounder + worse cap dump coming back. With him I think it's just about opening a roster spot for a kid and adding something of value back
Frost I don't think they move unless they have a sure-thing Center replacement coming back in some capacity.
Farabee is the tricky one, I think if they move him it'll be for a bigger hockey trade or at the minimum a package with a significant C or D prospect coming back. I really can't imagine Philly pulling the plug on him for a mid pick in a draft where they already have a solid amount of draft Capital. In a Washington trade, I have to imagine they'd be asking for McMichael back

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Zub is so much better than Marino and Greig currently a much more impactful 2 way game than Holtz. I would not trade Greig for Holtz . 7th is also better than 10th</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>This is more than the Sabres got for Eichel or the Flames got for Matthew Tkachuk.
If he wanted to make a comparable offer, it would be something like:
Ottawa 1st+Zub+Grieg+3rd for Hischier</div></div>
I've already wrote love letters about how Eichel forcing his way out of Buffalo while seeking a surgery that had basically never been done before is a terrible comparison so I'm not sure why youre still using it as a comparable for a Brady trade. Also mentioned that Matthew actively forced his way out of Florida as well whereas Brady is more than happy to stay. We could pretend the scenario behind this trade is he forced his way out but realistically a trade like this would be NJ coming to Staios to see if they could entice him to trade his captain.
Also if Hubie didnt fall off the face off the planet in Calgary I dont think you'd be saying that this was a better return than what went to Calgary for Matthew. Weegs looks amazing and signed long term for 6m. The 10-15 pick difference in the 1sts and the mid round picks changing hands dont make up the difference between Weegs to Marino and Huberdeau to Holtz pre-trade.

A 3rd should be seen by Ottawa brass as fair value. Would hope they pull the trigger on this type of deal without thinking twice if it popped up.

Compared to Brady? Absolutely 10th doesnt hurt you and in a vacuum Ottawa giving up a 7th for Brady wouldnt hurt at all either.
Whatever point youre trying to make is being lost in translation...

Levshunov. Then if neither he nor Celebrini come in, maybe a foreign RW like Konsta Helenius or Michael Brandsegg-Nygard or perhaps a different RD like Zayne Parekh.
